OHS boys cruise to 5A North Half track title

The Oxford High boys track team continued its dominant string of victories Saturday. The Chargers won the MHSAA Class 5A North Half meet with 170 points, besting runner-up Pearl by 73.5 points and Canton, which placed third, by 74 points. Oxford has also won the Division 2-5A and Region 1-5A championship the last two weeks and will look to win its second straight state title Friday in Pearl (May 3, 2015, Page 1B, 3B)

OHS track teams cruise to Division 2-5A titles

The Oxford High track teams claimed the Division 2-5A championships with a dominant showing Thursday at Bobby Holcomb Field. The Chargers used numerous first-place finishes to win the boys’ title with 128 total points while taking the girls’ championship with 134 points.
