Eastside Homemaker Volunteers

Meets Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Wesley Hall of Oxford-University United Methodist Church for the World Day of

Oxford-Ole Miss Rotary Club

Meets for breakfast from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Ole Miss Catering banquet suite located at 123 Heritage Drive. Featured speaker this week will be Wayne Andrews, director of the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council.  The YAC is responsible for bringing various events and programs to Oxford and Lafayette County. University Museum volunteer orientation

The University Museum is kicking off its volunteer program with an orientation at the Museum on Tuesday from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. During this introductory meeting, attendees will learn about the various volunteer opportunities, from educational programming to visitor services. Meets Monday at 9 a.m. at the Lafayette County Chancery Building. Items on the agenda include problems at the University Heights subdivision, changes to the Lafayette County Subdivision Regulations and dealing with an illegal dump on County Road 3020. (February 28, 2010, Page 2A)

UM Faculty/Staff Association

The Ole Miss Faculty/Staff Association will meet at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Inn at Ole Miss. Former University Police Chief Mike Stewart will discuss Wildrose Kennels Inc., the largest breeder and trainer of imported British and Irish Labrador retrievers in North America.
