Lenten Luncheon Series
The Lenten Luncheon Series continues this week at the Oxford-University United Methodist Church. The theme for this year’s series is, “Who has influenced your spiritual life?” The speaker this week will be Dan Jones, chancellor at Ole Miss. Lunch begins at noon on Wednesdays in the church’s activities center. A light lunch and a nursery will be provided. Located at 424 S. 10th St. (February 24, 2010)
Spring Speaker Series
The first lecture of the Croft Spring Speaker Series features Betsy Baker, associate professor and senior fellow for oceans and energy, Institute for Energy and the Environment, at 7 p.m. Monday in the Joseph C. Bancroft Conference Room, Croft 107. Her lecture is titled, “Mapping the Arctic Ocean: ‘Law, geophysics and the politics of cooperation.” Croft lectures are free and open to the public.
