‘Milk ‘n’ Cookies with Santa’
Family Crisis Services’ and Addy Photography’s are teaming up again for the seventh annual “Milk n’ Cookies with Santa” fundraiser for Family Crisis Services, a victims service organization and child advocacy center. ‘Milk ‘n’ Cookies with Santa” will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Downtown Oxford Inn & Suites, 400 N. Lamar Blvd. A donation of $10 will be taken at the door and includes two 4×6 professional pictures by Rick Addy and snacks. All proceeds benefiting Family Crisis Services’ clients and services. ‘Feed the Need’
The Truth Church in Batesville is sponsoring and hosting a “Feed the Need Outreach” at noon Sunday at the Stone Center in Oxford. All individuals in the community are invited, especially those who are in need, for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Food will be served. Clothes, shoes and toys will also be given away. Kids Count Fundraiser
Everyone is invited to come to the Powerhouse Community Arts Center beginning at 12:30 p.m. Saturday for the Ole Miss Ole Miss vs. LSU game for a home-cooked meal provided by Taylor Grocery Catfish Catering. A silent auction will be featured along with and a cash bar from Downtown Grille. All proceeds go to Mississippi Kids Count. OMS Chorus Fundraiser
The OMS Chorus holiday meat fundraiser has begun. Enjoy fresh-smoked meats this holiday season from Taylor Grocery while supporting the Oxford Middle School Chorus. Smoked Boston Butts (averaging 8 to 10 pounds) are $25 each. Smoked Boneless Brown Sugar-Peppered Hams (averaging 8 to 10 pounds) are $45 each.
Money is taken in advance with the order. You can place an order with Damien D. Wash, director of choral music at OMS, via e-mail, dwash@oxford.k12.ms.us, or see any OMS chorus member. Make checks payable to Oxford Middle School. The pick up day will be Dec. 10 from 3 until 4:30 p.m. in the OMS parking lot. Holiday House Arts and Crafts Show
The Mississippi Homemakers Volunteers of Lafayette County will hold its annual Holiday House Arts and Crafts Show on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the National Guard Armory/Oxford Conference Center on Ed Perry Boulevard. Holiday House will have demonstrations, door prizes, a silent auction, MHV cookbooks, tea room and Christmas Carols. Vendors will be selling a variety of arts and crafts.
