Della Davidson’s Square Books Junior Book Fair will be Sunday through Thursday. A special event will be held at Square Books Junior on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For Della Day, 20 percent of all purchases will go to Della Davidson Elementary School if you identify yourself as a Della Book Fair shopper. Family night at Della Book Fair will be Tuesday from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the Della Davidson library. Free gift wrapping will be available at all events. Refreshments will also be provided. Oxford School District voters will weigh in Tuesday on whether to support the effort to expand district facilities, including the construction of a new high school, by voting on a $30 million bond issue. Polls will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Oxford Activity Center. (October 22, 2010)
Regents School of Oxford invites everyone to its Autumn Fair from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free. The fair will feature old-fashioned activities such as hay rides, pumpkin bowling, cake walks and face-painting. (October 22, 2010)

The Mississippi School of the Arts will hold an information event for interested students and parents on Oct. 21 from 5:30 till 7:30 p.m. at the Lafayette County & Oxford Public Library, 401 Bramlett Blvd. Those interested are invited to come and go as they please during this event.
The Mississippi School of the Arts is an 11th- and 12th-grade visual and performing arts residential, public high school located in Brookhaven. Students not only meet and exceed the traditional Mississippi high school curriculum, they receive special instruction in visual arts, vocal music, dance, literary arts and theater. Students interested in MSA apply their sophomore year. Last years graduating class received more than $2.6 million in scholarship offers for college.
