CPR/AED/First Aid Class
The American Red Cross will offer an Adult, Child and Infant CPR/AED/First Aid community class from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 27. The class is $50. All classes are held at the Red Cross Office, located at 106 Skyline Drive. Interested participants should contact the Red Cross office at 662-236-1282 to register. A Conversation with Kym Clark
Kym Clark, WMC-TV Channel 5 (Memphis) news anchor and reporter, discusses her career and the challenges women and minority journalists face today, in a special program at 1 p.m. Thursday. The program will be held in the first-floor auditorium of the Overby Center and is sponsored by the University of Mississippi Association of Black Journalists. (March 5, 2010)
Chancellor Jones inauguration
The University of Mississippi will officially install a new chancellor on April 9, 2010. Dr. Daniel W. Jones will be formally sworn in as chancellor during a 10 a.m. investiture ceremony in the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts. The inauguration’s theme, selected by Chancellor Jones and reflecting an area of deep commitment for him as an educator and physician, is “Transformation Through Service.” (March 2, 2010)
