Kids’ Ornament making class
The North Mississippi Fish Hatchery Visitor Education Center at Enid will offer youngsters the opportunity to make Christmas ornaments for birds at 2 p.m. Saturday. Participants will create edible ornaments to decorate their trees. This free program is for all ages with a variety of ornaments for various skill levels. All the supplies will be provided. Some of the creations made will decorate the trees around the hatchery, but most will go home with the artists.

Studio Open House

Artists Studios Open House
Jere and Jeff Allen and Ron Dale will have open house at their studios on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Allens’ studio is on Alderson Road, across from the hospital. Dale’s studio is on CR 411 off of Highway 334 near Yellow Leaf Creek, a short distance from Neil Studios. (December 1, 2010)
Spinning Demonstration
The Creative Yarn Spinners, a group of fiber artists from the Memphis area, will demonstrate spinning at Knit1 Oxford this Saturday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. The group’s handspun yarns will be available for purchase. For more information, call Knit1 Oxford at 238-2829. (December 1, 2010)

North Oxford Baptist Church will host its annual Arts & Crafts Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at its Family Life Center. Art Show
The Oxford Artist’s Guild’s Biggest Baddest Art Show continues its run at the Powerhouse Community Arts Center through today. It features 40 local artists and more than 100 pieces of original art, including photography, paintings, jewelry, sculpture, mosaics, furniture and hand-carved toys. (November 29, 2010)
