The Water Valley Lady Blue Devils didn’t get their playoffs started exactly how they would have liked.

    Sherman proud despite final score

    Talking to Water Valley boys coach John Sherman, you never would have known the final score of the Blue Devils’ Region 2-3A title game against the Aberdeen Bulldogs.

    Grinning from ear-to-ear and laughing, Sherman, and his players, were on the receiving end of congratulatory handshakes and pats on the back. (February 14, 2011, Page 7A)

      Nettleton tops Lady Blue Devils in 2-3A title game

        Blue Devils win with ease Tuesday

                  Buckley finds home with Ragin’ Cajuns

                  Eric Buckley had an idea last weekend might be a memorable one when he left Water Valley for Lafayette, La. on Friday.

                  Once he made the six-hour trek south, heard the sales pitch of the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns and saw all that Lafayette, La., had to offer, Buckley knew he had found the right fit and gave his verbal commitment to the coaching staff on Saturday. (January 31, 2011, Page 7)
