Tide crashes on Ole Miss’ tournament
VIDEO BLOG: HOOVER, Ala. — The sixth-seeded Rebels (37-21 overall) have gotten used playing in the first game daily at the Southeastern Conference Tournament, hosted at the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium.
They’ll do it one final time today at 9:30 a.m. against the seventh-seeded Alabama Crimson Tide (33-25). The game will be televised on SportSouth.

Razorbacks win with wild finish
After surviving the single-elimination day of the Southeastern Conference Tournament, the sixth-seeded Rebels advanced to face third-seed Arkansas this morning at 9:30 a.m. for the second consecutive “breakfast game.”
Arkansas-Ole Miss will be televised on CSS. The game is matched up with today’s LSU/Alabama game. The losers play in an elimination game at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, while the winners will face off in the second game. (more…) (May 22, 2013)
Mayers, Rebels eliminate Kentucky
VIDEO BLOG: HOOVER, Ala. — Good morning from the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium, the site of the annual Southeastern Conference Baseball Tournament.
The “breakfast game,” to open the six-day event pits two familiar opponents in 11th-seed Kentucky (30-24 overall, 11-19 SEC) against 6th-seed Ole Miss (36-20, 15-15).
The winner advances to face 3rd-seed Arkansas while the loser’s tournament is done.

Rebs can’t hold six-run lead, lose finale to No. 21 MSU
BLOG: Saturday was filled with firsts, mosts and highs at Oxford-University Stadium.
After claiming the both ends of Saturday’s doubleheader against No. 21 Mississippi State, the Rebels (35-16 overall, 14-12 SEC) will look to sweep the Bulldogs (36-15, 13-13) for the first time since 2010.

VIDEO BLOG: Rivalry weekend is upon us again.
The day-long cloud that hovered over Oxford has lifted and it appears No. 21 Mississippi State and Ole Miss will kick off their three-game series at Oxford-University Stadium on time tonight at 6:30.
Mother Nature pulled a fast one Friday.Oxford’s day-long cloud coverage cleared just long enough for No. 21 Mississippi State and Ole Miss to record three outs at Oxford-University Stadium before the sky opened again with a heavy rain. Due to the precipitation, Game 1 between the Bulldogs and Rebels was suspended until Saturday. Game 1 will resume with the Rebels batting in the bottom of the first at 3 p.m. Game 2 of the three-game set will begin 40 minutes after the opener’s conclusion. Insell’s first class has international feel to it
VIDEO BLOG: When asked about recruiting during his introductory press conference, new Ole Miss women’s basketball coach Matt Insell said he wasn’t going to sign girls just to fill roster spots. He wanted to sign players that would impact the program.
Wednesday, Insell announced his initial signing class, which has a distinct international feel to it.
