    Ole Miss recruit Madden a prep standout

    SPORTS EDITOR BLOG — Ole Miss will be hosting one of the top prep basketball players in the country this weekend. Lepanto, Ark., native Ky Madden will be on campus starting today and if his official visit goes well, then he could end up becoming a Rebel as early as November when high school players can start signing with college teams.           WVHS holds on to top Vikings

          WATER VALLEY —It wasn’t pretty, but in the end the Water Valley Blue Devils did just enough to come away from Bobby Clark Field on Friday night with a 27-21 victory over the Class 4A North Pontotoc Vikings.

            Miller remains committed to Rebels

            Following Lafayette’s 28-6 victory over the Itawamba-AHS Indians I got a chance to catch up with Ole Miss commit Maikhail Miller.

                Water Valley storms J.Z. George

                WATER VALLEY— The Blue Devils lopsided 41-14 victory over the J.Z. George Jaguars at Bobby Clark Field on Friday will be a Homecoming night few fans will forget.

                    Rishaw Johnson dismissed from Ole Miss football team

                    Following Thursday’s practice Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt confirmed that offensive lineman Rishaw Johnson has been dismissed from the football team and backup linebacker Brandon Sanders has been suspended indefinitely for breaking team rules. (more…) (September 9, 2010)
