BLOG: Chargers advance to North Half with 42-14 win over West Point

WEST POINT— It was a tall test, but the Oxford High football team passed it with flying colors as the Chargers went into West Point and defeated the Green Wave, 42-14, for the second time this season Friday.     BLOG: Chargers roll into second round with 62-14 win over Ridgeland

    Oxford could do, and did, whatever it wanted to Friday night and there was nothing Ridgeland could do about it. The Chargers (11-1) defeated the Titans (5-7) 62-14 in the opening round of the MHSAA Class 5A state playoffs at Bobby Holcomb Field. (more…) (November 14, 2014)

      BLOG: Oxford dominates Lake Cormorant in season finale

      LAKE CORMORANT— Oxford head coach Johnny Hill felt his team did not look in sync last week against Center Hill.             BLOG: Commodores dominate Senatobia 27-0, win Region 2-4A title

            For the Lafayette Commodores it’s not about how you start, but how you finish. They are finishing strong and in front of the home crowd on Senior Night the Commodores shutout the Senatobia Warriors 27-0 clinching their first Region 2-Class 4A title since the 2011 season, the last time they won the state championship.  (more…) (October 24, 2014)

Now, the SEC Network’s college football pregame show ‘SEC Nation’ has taken residency on the campus of Ole Miss and will emanate life from The Grove Saturday morning form 9-11 a.m. Some of the shows analysts took time to speak with the media Friday afternoon about the Rebels season.                     BLOG: Lafayette starts region play with comeback win over Ripley

                    RIPLEY— For the second straight week the Lafayette Commodores football team trailed by 13 points. For the second straight week they overcame that deficit.
