Want more March Madness? Be prepared to work for it

COLUMN: If you’re still angry or upset about Ole Miss’ last possession loss to La Salle in the NCAA Tournament, that’s OK. It wasn’t the easiest way to end things, to end a previously unthinkable run back to March Madness.  (more…) (March 27, 2013, Page 8)

Loss can still lead to bright future

COLUMN: KANSAS CITY, Mo. — It’s never easy to talk about a loss following a magical run like the Ole Miss Rebels just went on, but there is hope that the future can be bright. COLUMN: NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Consider Andy Kennedy’s existence justified.

In the stroke of three wild days in Nashville, the embattled Ole Miss basketball coach not only ended speculation that he’d be fired the same season he became the program’s winningest head coach, but that his style of coaching and development couldn’t get the Rebels to the NCAA Tournament. Even after everything, Ole Miss has hope in Nashville at SEC tourney

COLUMN: NASHVILLE — It stands to feature an overwhelming amount of bad basketball, but the 2013 Southeastern Conference Tournament bracket reads like a history book of this season’s Ole Miss team, and maybe even tea leaves for its future. (more…) (March 14, 2013, Page 8)
