Williams ready to make an impact for OM Rebels

Ole Miss football coach Hugh Freeze and his staff have been searching the state and nation for athletic players who can help turn around a program that won just six games the last two years. In the case of South Florida native Charles Williams, the Rebels appear to have not only garnered a verbal pledge from a top athlete, but an outstanding leader as well.

The 6-foot-2, 183-pound Williams picked the Rebels over West Virginia on Thursday for several reasons including the chance to make his own mark away from home. Williams, who plays quarterback, safety and cornerback at Champagnat Catholic in Hialeah, Fla., talked about the opportunity to play wide receiver in the Southeastern Conference and make his mark on a program like he has done so far at his high school. (July 30, 2012, Page 6)
