North Forrest linebacker Lelland Ducksworth (6-foot-1, 215-pounds) recently attended Ole Miss’ Senior Elite Camp this past weekend and his performance ultimately paid off with an offer from coach Houston Nutt. When Jordan Batiste heard the magic words he’d been waiting for this weekend at the Ole Miss Elite Camp, that he had received his 11th collegiate football offer, he had a knee-jerk reaction to commit to the Gridiron Rebels on the spot.
A total of 20 incoming Rebel freshmen from various sports are already on campus, as they are enrolled in first summer term which began today.
A dream of playing tennis at the Division I level became a reality Tuesday for Oxford High’s Zach Wilder. The standout who led the Chargers to four straight state team titles during his prep career officially signed with the Ole Miss Rebels and coach Billy Chadwick, who has seen the standout grow and mature for several years.
