Chargers second in Tupelo track meet
Several individual athletes fared well for Oxford in the annual Daily Journal Relays held at Tupelo High School.
The Chargers totaled 130.5 points to finish second to Tupelo, who won the event with 175.5 points, while a skeleton Lady Charger team still placed fifth out of 15 teams with 43 points. (April 12, 2010, Page 3B)

ATHENS, Ga. —For the sixth week in a row the No. 17 Ole Miss Rebels have been unable to claim a Sunday victory, falling at Georgia 6-3.

Rebs take 13 innings to knock off UGA 4-3
ATHENS, Ga. — It only took 13 innings for the first four batters in No. 17 Ole Miss’ lineup to tally a hit against the Georgia Bulldogs. In the 13th inning, Ole Miss’ broke out of its 0-for-18 slump in a big way, scoring three runs to lead the Rebels to a 4-3 victory over the Bulldogs at Foley Field.

West Point upsets Chargers
SPORTS EDITOR BLOG — A four-run seventh inning broke a 4-4 tie and ultimately propelled the West Point Green Wave to an 8-4 win over the Oxford Chargers Friday night at Edwin Moak Field.

Rebels hold on for 4-1 victory at Georgia
ATHENS, Ga. — On the heels of being named Baseball America‘s Midseason Player of the Year, Ole Miss ace Drew Pomeranz didn’t disappoint.
The junior left-hander pitched yet another masterful game, leading Ole Miss to a 4-1 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs at Foley Field tonight.

Roberson captures 100th win as OHS coach
Oxford coach Bradley Roberson reached a significant milestone Thursday night with the Chargers’ 17-4 win over Independence. Roberson’s 100th win as OHS coach came in a game that also put the Chargers back above .500 (10-9 overall) and gave them another dose of confidence going into tonight’s Division 2-5A game with West Point at Edwin Moak Field.
