It’s amazing what a single offseason and one more year of experience will give a driver.           Huggins explodes for 5 goals in U12 Earthquakes win

          Preston Huggins didn’t hold anything back in his Under-12 soccer match on Tuesday, scoring five goals to lift the Earthquakes to a 7-2 win over the Crew during Tuesday’s Oxford Park Commission soccer action. In the other U12 boys game, the Tornados and Wizards tied 2-2. In the U10 boys league, the Dynamo blanked the Galaxy 1-0 and the Sounders blitzed the Fire 5-0.             Lafayette Middle School earns first round bye

              LHS softball downs Senatobia

              The Lafayette Lady Commodores rallied to score eight runs in the top of the eighth inning to defeat Senatobia 14-7 on the road Tuesday. Picking up the win for Lafayette was Stormy Robinson. Sheana Witt hit LHS’ only triple, while M.C. Pate, Robinson, Corey Hollis, Kelsey Kesler and Katrina Wilson all hit doubles. In addition to Witt, Robinson, Hollis, Kesler and Wilson, Cameron Mize also had a multiple-hit game. LHS returns to action on Thursday, hosting Senatobia at 6:45 p.m. (March 31, 2010, Page 10)

                Oxford tennis team smashes Saltillo Tigers

                The Oxford Chargers tennis squad made a clean sweep of divisional rival Saltillo Monday, knocking off the Tigers 7-0.
