The Chargers advanced to Tuesday’s 5A North Half title match against Pearl by defeating Callaway 3-2 in penalty kicks. Oxford (13-4-1 overall) gained a huge measure of revenge with the win over Callaway, the only team to beat OHS last season, by playing as a team and learning from some of the tight games it had been involved in during the season. Oxford’s seventh- and eighth-grade boys basketball teams ended the season Thursday at home against South Panola.
