    Monken sets two-week timetable for QBs

    HATTIESBURG—If first-year Southern Miss football coach Todd Monken has his way, the battle to be the team’s starting quarterback this season will be a short one.

            Chargers looking to win 7-on-7 title

            A final tuneup for the Oxford Chargers prior to the start of the 2013 football season could result in national bragging rights. A little less than a month after winning the inaugural Mississippi Invitational in Tupelo, the Chargers travel to Hoover, Ala., to take part in the National Select 7-on-7 Championships.                     Gibbs headed to ICC

                    Former Oxford Charger Luke Gibbs has decided to transfer to Itawamba Community College.

                    With several young infielders returning and an incoming signing class full of middle infielders, the redshirt freshman decided it was best he transfer in search of more playing time.
