Three-run fourth inning lifts Reds past D-Backs

A three-run fourth inning helped the 9-year-old Bert’s Plumbing Reds edge the Ligon Oral Surgery Diamondbacks 11-10 in Oxford Park Commission youth baseball action Monday night at FNC Park.

In the other 9-year-old game, the Rainbow Cleaners Yankees pounded the Plein Air Royals 15-3. In two 11-12 games, the Orioles beat the Hunter’s Hollow Brewers 7-2, while the Gilliland Orthodontics Yankees defeated the Oxford Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Rays 8-3. (June 8, 2010, Page 7)

    Allen’s single lifts 13-14 Braves to win

        Morgan’s pitching lifts Rays past Cardinals

        Sam Morgan of the Morgan White Insurance Rays struck out 11 of the 12 batters he faced to highlight action in the Oxford Park Commission’s 10-year-old league Tuesday at FNC Park. The Rays defeated the Hampton Inn Hotel Cardinals 6-1 thanks to Morgan’s pitching effort.           Zaxby’s tops Taco Bell in OPC action

              OPC’s Royals have offensive explosion against Cardinals

              Offense was the name of the game for the Sharp Insurance Royals in their 15-6 win over the Rozier Hayes Cardinals in the Oxford Park Commission’s 13-14 year-old league Thursday night. In the other 13-14 game, the Bancoxford Insurance Services Cubs beat the Hampton Inn Twins 8-5.

              In the 9-and-Under league, the Larson’s Big Star Red Sox doubled up the Plein Air Royals 8-4, while the Bert’s Plumbing Reds topped the Smith Building Supply Twins 9-7. In the 10-and-Under league, the Morgan White Insurance Rays beat the Hampton Inn hotel Cardinals 7-5, the First National Bank of Oxford Braves pounded the Rock Star Taxi Yankees 17-0, while the Morgan White Rays edged the Hampton Inn hotel Cardinals 7-5. Winning by forfeit in the league were the Red Sox over the Yankees.

              In two 11-12 games, the Orioles edged Oxford Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Rays 7-6, while the McKeeson Royals pounded the Gilliland Orthodontics Yankees 17-2. (May 14, 2010, Page 7A)

                Dolphins double-up Shiloh Creek

                    Coleman’s hit lifts 11-12 Yankees to win

                    Richard Coleman helped lift the 11-12 year-old Gilliland Orthodontics Yankees to a 7-6 win over the Oxford Orthopedics Sports Medicine Rays at FNC Park Tuesday night by hitting a walk-off single in the sixth inning. In other Oxford Park Commission youth baseball games from Tuesday, the Bank of Oxford Dodgers beat the McKeeson Orioles 9-6 in the other 11-12 game.

                    In the 10-year-old league, the Morgan White Insurance Rays beat the Rock Star Taxi Yankees 17-7, while the Hampton Inn Cardinals tied the First National Bank of Oxford Braves 3-3. In two 9-year-old games, the Rainbow Cleaners Yankees beat the Plein Air Royals 10-8, while the Bert’s Plumbing Reds pounded the Larson’s Big Star Red Sox 12-0.
