COLUMN: OM and its title hopes go quietly into the night

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Brandon Allen took the snap, faked a handoff to his running back, popped his head around and fired a pass toward Keon Hatcher in the end zone. Hatcher extended his arms, secured the ball before falling to the ground and gave Arkansas a quick 7-0 lead over Ole Miss in the first quarter. Ball game. No, seriously. It was only the Razorbacks’ third play from scrimmage. It came less than three minutes into the game. But Ole Miss was done. (November 23, 2014, Page 1B)

Wallace’s bad day looms large for Rebels

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.— There is a song that says, “Mama always said there’d be days like this.” Rebel quarterback Bo Wallace had one of those days in No. 8 Ole Miss’ 30-0 loss to Arkansas Saturday. Heading into the game, Wallace had only thrown one interception in Southeastern Conference play. That number jumped up to three after Wallace tossed two at Reynolds Razorback Stadium. (November 23, 2014, Page 2B)
