Lady Rebs unable to match LSU on the road

An Ole Miss scoring drought midway through the second half allowed LSU to pull away as the Ole Miss women’s basketball team fell 78-43 at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center Thursday night.

With the loss, Ole Miss fell to 8-9 overall (1-4 SEC) while LSU improved to13-7 overall (3-3 SEC). (January 21, 2011, Page 7A)

    Rebels struggle late, fall at Vandy

    The Vanderbilt Commodores are aching and hurting. They also are learning how to quit letting games get away from them at the end.

        Ole Miss netters go 24-3 in opening weekend invitational

        The No. 18 Ole Miss women’s tennis team concluded a successful opening weekend to the 2011 season Sunday by winning five of six singles matches against Missouri at the Memphis Winter Invitational.  For the weekend, the Rebels went 24-3 in singles and doubles at the Racquet Club of Memphis.           DT Laurent to play in East-West Shrine Game

                Ole Miss football signs JUCO All-American Philander Moore

                Ole Miss head coach Houston Nutt announced Tuesday the signing of Blinn Community College’s Philander Moore to a national letter of intent.  He will enroll at Ole Miss in this month and begin competing for the Rebels in the 2011 season with three years of eligibility remaining.
