Rangers earns sweep of Mississippi Delta

The Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers earned two wins over Delta Wednesday in Senatobia to claim the No. 2 spot in the North Division.

The two wins also improved the Rangers to 23-21 overall and 14-8 in the North Division. NWCC now has a home field advantage in the first round of the playoffs, which is a best-of-three series. (April 26, 2012, Page 7)

Sullivan shines in SEC opener

Former Oxford Charger and Northwest Mississippi Community College Ranger Charley Sullivan shined in Alabama’s Southeastern Conference opener on Friday against Arkansas. OHS Chargers trio picks Northwest

Oxford’s talented trio of seniors will be able to call one another teammates for at least another two seasons.

OL Johnson’s plan comes to fruition

Terry Johnson’s plan of getting a Division I football offer ended up happening just about the way he, his family and his coaches designed it.

The former Oxford High standout, who played this past season at Northwest Mississippi Community College, is headed to the next level as a member of the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns after just one season with the Rangers. The 6-foot-2, 300-pound Johnson was a full qualifier out of high school and as such, he’s able to transfer without earning a two-year degree. (January 10, 2012, Page 9)

Three Rangers named NJCAA All-American
