LHS-OHS playing for special purpose

A softball game with a special purpose, more than just bragging rights, is what the Lafayette Lady Commodores and Oxford Lady Chargers will be engaged with Friday night at LHS.       LMS can’t top Marshall Academy

      An improved effort wasn’t enough to lift the Lafayette Middle School baseball team to wins over Marshall Academy. Marshall defeated the Commodores, 9-5, 6-3, in a doubleheader at W.V. Brewer Field Thursday evening. (March 1, 2013, Page 7A)

        Lady ‘Dores pound Horn Lake

        A 17-hit attack on offense higlighted the Lafayette Lady Commodores’ 8-3 win over Class 6A Horn Lake Thursday night. Six players had at least two hits in the win, while three players — Kendall Glass, Emily Robinson and Moesha Phillips — each had three hits in the win.           Lafayette tops North Pontotoc to open division play

          Lafayette’s 6-1 win over North Pontotoc Thursday not only gave the Commodores their second straight win in tennis, it also gave them a 1-0 start in Division 2-4A play.                   Troopers outlast ‘Dores to win 4-3

                  A hard-fought match that was decided in doubles play didn’t come out in favor of the Lafayette Commodores Monday. In their season opener at the Oxford-University Stadium tennis courts, the Commodores fell 4-3 to Mooreville.
