  • Anthony Leigh — 80, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at his residence in Memphis. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Highland Heights Church of Christ in Memphis. Burial will follow in Leigh Cemetery in Tillatoba. Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.
  • Samuel Bruister Orman Sr. — 83, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, at Northwest Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Methodist Church in Tutwiler. Burial will follow at the Rosemound Cemetery in Tutwiler. Visitation will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale.
  • Kimberly Carmen Buford-Patterson — 28, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at her residence in Upper Marlboro, Md. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Clear Creek M.B. Church. Burial will follow in the Jordan Chapel C.M.E. Church Cemetery in Oxford. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church. Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.

      • Brenda Carol Avant — 57, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at the Tri-Lakes Medical Center in Batesville. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 this evening at the funeral home.
      • Kenneth S. Beasley — 82, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, in Gulfport. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Gulfport. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service at noon.
      • Dot Malone Richardson — 80, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 6 this evening at the funeral home.

Services will be held at 2 this afternoon at Yellow Leaf Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Yellow Leaf Cemetery. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service at the church. Waller Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.

        • Anthony Lee — 80, died Sunday at his residence in Memphis. Arrangements are incomplete with Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home of Oxford.
        • Dorothy Richardson — 80, died Saturday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi. Arrangements are incomplete with Waller Funeral Home of Oxford.
