  • Leola Lunceford — 87, died Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Oxford Health & Rehab. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Clarksdale. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale is in charge of arrangements.
  • John Henry Pegues — 86, died Tuesday at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford. Arrangements are incomplete with Serenity-Martin Funeral Home of Oxford.

    • Ann Williams Bronaugh Andrews, 60, —died Saturday, June 21, 2014. Services were held June 26 at Bond Memorial Chapel in Mt. Juliet.
    • Dorothy J. Donaldson — 75, died Wednesday, July 2, 2013, in Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center in Racine. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Greater St. Luke Baptist Church. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Strouf Funeral Home, and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
    • Ann Constance “Connie” Phillips — 97, died Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Macon, with interment at Oddfellows Cemetery.  Immediately following, visitation will be held at the Corpus Christi parish hall. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon is in charge of arrangements.

      • Katherine Marie Goodrich Dowden — 92, died Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Hermitage Gardens in Oxford. A graveside service was held Saturday at Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Waller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
      • Edward D. Houston — 48, died Friday at his sister’s residence in Oxford. Arrangements are incomplete with Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home in Oxford.
      • Howard L. Searcy — 78 died Saturday, July 5, 2014, at his residence in Mendenhall. Services were held this morning at Dry Creek Baptist Church in Magee. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee was in charge of arrangements.
      • John Luke Winters — 78, died Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Oxford. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church. Waller Funeral Home in oxford is in charge of arrangements.

Burial will follow at Anchor Cemetery in Water Valley. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service at the church. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A resident of Fort Ashby, he was born in Oxford. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Carol Huggins; three children; and one brother, James M.                     • Dr. Silas Wesley Pearson Jr. — 89, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Services will be held at 3 this afternoon at First Baptist Church in Louisville. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
