    • Gean Gale Bratton — 80, died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Paris Cemetery in Paris. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Coleman Funeral Home in Oxford.
    • Michael “Mikey” Charles Carden — 50, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, in Batesville. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Wells Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in Forrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
    • Earnest O’Neil Moore Jr. —  60, died this morning at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi. Arrangements are incomplete with Serenity-Martin Funeral Home of Oxford.

      • Charles W. Mosby — 60, died this morning at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi. Arrangements are incomplete with Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home.
      • William H. “Bill” Stubblefield Jr. — 77, died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, at his home in Batesville. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Batesville. Visitation will be held for an hour and half prior to the service at the church. Wells Funeral Home of Batesville is in charge of arrangements.
      • Janice Mckitrick Truett — 87, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at her home in Oxford. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Coleman Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

        • Shirley DePriest Baldwin — 66, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2011 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home in Oxford. Burial will follow in Abbeville Cemetery. Visitation will be held for an hour and a half prior to the service at the funeral home.
        • Mannora Mosby — 94, formerly of Oxford, died Sunday at her daughter’s home in 29 Palm, Calif. Arrangements are incomplete with Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home in Oxford.
        • Dale Winter Overstreet — 87, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab in Holly Springs. Services were held this morning at First Baptist Church. Burial followed in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Waller Funeral Home of Oxford was in charge of arrangements.
        • April Nichelle Reithel — 29, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at her home in Oxford. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home in Oxford. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
        • Frank Taylor — 89, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center in Batesville. Services were held Sunday afternoon at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville.. Burial followed in Forrest Memorial Park.

          Saturday’s obituaries

          • Shirley DePriest Baldwin, 66, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2011 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home in Oxford, with Bro. Randy Hope officiating. Burial will follow in Abbeville Cemetery. Visitation will be held for an hour and a half prior to the service at the funeral home. Retired from Furniture World in Oxford, she was the former town clerk of Abbeville and was a member of First Baptist Church of Abbeville. Also, she was a member of the Darrell DePriest Lafayette County DAV. Survivors include her mother, Arlie Mae Irwin DePriest of Abbeville; three daughters, Evelyn Windham and Teresa Baldwin, both of Southaven, and Karen Walters of Abbeville; one sister, Linda Kisner of Abbeville; two brothers, Danny DePriest and Keith DePriest, both of Abbeville; and four grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation Inc., 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.             Friday’s obituaries

            • April Nichelle Reithel — 29, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at her home in Oxford. Arrangements are incomplete with Waller Funeral Home of Oxford. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home of Oxford. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. She was the head veterinary technician at Crossroads Animal Hospital, where she worked for nearly 10 years. Born in Portales, N.M., she was a graduate of Oxford High School.  She attended Ole Miss.  She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Robert J. Reithel in 1998 and a sister, Alexis Reithel, in 1985. She touched many lives in the community through her love for pets and people. She was a cherished daughter, sister, family member, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to have known her. Survivors include her parents, Vicki and Brian Reithel of Oxford; one sister, Ruby Reithel of Oxford; one brother, Dylan Reithel of Oxford; grandparents, Harriet and Don Bell of Clovis, N.M., and Louise E. Reithel of Albuquerque, N.M., and one great-grandmother, Marilyn Collins of Prescott, Ariz. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at College Hill Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service in the fellowship hall at the church.                   • Hubert Dunn — died today in Memphis. Arrangements are incomplete with Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley.
                  • Nellie Dean Lancaster Edwards — 87, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Services were held Saturday at Shady Grove Methodist Church in Banner. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce was in charge of the arrangements.
                  • Dickey Laver Gray — 64, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at his residence. Services will be held at 2 this afternoon at Spring Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Spring Hill in Waterford.
                  • Betty Stone — died today in Southaven. Arrangements are incomplete with Seven Oaks Funeral Home of Water Valley.
