  •  Lt. Col. John Rutherford Fawcett Jr. — 94, died Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at his home. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. A private interment will be held at the National Cemetery in Beaufort, S.C. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 this evening at the home of Deans and Peter Fawcett in Columbia. The family will also receive friends following the service at the same home. Dunbar Funeral Home in Columbia is in charge of arrangements.

    • Ernest “Ernie” Goodwin — 68, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford. Services were held Saturday at Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville. Burial followed in Shady Grove Cemetery.
    • Roy D. Melton — 71, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center, Batesville. Services were held Saturday at the First United Pentecostal Church in Batesville. Burial followed in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Batesville.

      • Hazel Joyce Hoffman Kinney — 80, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at Hermitage Gardens in Oxford. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Oxford-University United Methodist Church in Oxford. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery in Oxford. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Waller Funeral Home.
      • Paul Lincoln Parker — 98, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at his home in Water Valley. Services will be held at 2 this afternoon at First Baptist Church of Water Valley. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church. Seven Oaks Funeral Home of Water Valley is in charge of arrangements.
      • James Richard Webb — 65, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford.             • Florida Bell Martin Marion — 77, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at her home in Waterford.             • Barbara Bailey Massey — 70, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at her home in Oxford. Visitation will be held Thursday beginning at 5 p.m. at Waller Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held immediately following the visitation at 6. In addition to services here in Oxford, a visitation will be held at Raymond United Methodist Church of Raymond on Saturday at 10 a.m. A memorial service will follow at the church at 11.
