  • Sadie Bell — 77, died Thursday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Arrangements are incomplete with Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home in Oxford.
  • Frankie Lynn Ragon Jr. — 71, died Tuesday, April 2, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sylva Rena Baptist Church in Yalobusha County. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 this evening at the church. Seven Oaks Funeral Home of Water Valley is in charge of arrangements.

    • Cho Cho Porter — 75, died Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of the Living God. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home Chapel.
    • Taylor Gilbert “T.G.” Williamson — 87, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at his home in Water Valley. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley. Burial will follow in the Ford’s Well Church Cemetery in Yalobusha County. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

      • William David Wood — 34, died Monday, March 31, 2014, at his home in El Dorado, Ark. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at College Hill Presbyterian Church in Oxford. Burial will follow in College Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held for two and half hours prior to the service in the fellowship hall of the church. Waller Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.

          • John Whitten Street — 88, died Friday, March 29, 2014, at the Mississippi State Veteran’s Home in Oxford. Services were held Sunday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors. Burial followed in Tupelo Memorial Park.
          • Alex James “A.J.” Vance — 83, died Sunday, March 30, 2014, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Macedonia Baptist Church in Myrtle. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery in Etta. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 this evening at Waller Funeral Home in Oxford, and for 30 minutes prior to Tuesday’s service at the church.
          • William David Wood — from Oxford died this morning at his home in El Dorado, Ark. Arrangements are incomplete with Waller Funeral Home in Oxford.
