  • Frank Ashley Jr. — 80, died Thursday, May 6, 2010,. Services were held Saturday at Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, with burial in the Oakridge Cemetery.
  • Norma T. Clayton — 69, died Friday, May 7, 2010. Services will be at 2 this afternoon in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Eastover Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 until 2.
  • Robert Sidney Cooper — 83, died Friday, May 7, 2010. A graveside service was held Sunday at Eastern Cemetery in Forest. Waller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
  • Herschel Marion Cranford Jr. — 62, died Thursday in Batesville. Arrangements are incomplete with Waller Funeral Home.
  • Calvin Eugene Fox — 55, died Thursday, May 6, 2010. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Second M.B. Church. Burial will follow in Harrisonville Church Cemetery. Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home in Oxford is in charge of arrangements.
  • Theodore “Theo” Hilliard — 105, died Sunday at his residence in Oxford. Arrangements are incomplete with Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home in Oxford.
  • Dorothy McGee — 70, died Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Arrangements are incomplete with Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home of Oxford.
  • Blondie Euclid Ray White Jr. — 56, died Friday, May 7, 2010. Services are scheduled for 4 this afternoon at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors. A private burial will be in the New Fellowship Cemetery near Ripley. Visitation is 1 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

    • Don Ralph McPherson — 76, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Moores Memorial Cemetery in Teoc. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Williams and Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood.

      • Thomas “Nute” Marion Edlin — 84, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Waller Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Cambridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
      • Henrietta Terrell-Smith — 89, of Oxford died Monday, May 3, 2010. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of The Living God in Thaxton. Burial will follow in the Toccopola Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home with the family hour from 6 to 7.

Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce. Burial will follow in Banner Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

            • Wayne F. Coleman — 88, died Friday, April 30, 2010, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford. Services were held earlier this morning at the Pine Bluff Church of Christ in Oxford. Burial followed in the Pine Bluff Cemetery. Coleman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
            • Roy G. Hill — 68, died Sunday, May 2, 2010, at Baptist Hospital in Union County. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Eastover Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
            • Phyllis Sabbatini — 45, died Sunday in Lafayette County. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Oakridge Cemtery in Clarksdale. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the McNeil-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale.

                • The Rev. Connell “C.M.” Matthew White, 85, died Wednesday, April 28, 2010. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Harrisonville M. B. Church of Oxford. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Serenity-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

                    • Leowen “Leo” Sneed Husbands — infant son of Nicholas “Nick” and Sommer Husbands of Oxford, died Sunday, April 25, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
