        Former Oxford business owner jailed, extradited to Tennessee

        Details are limited in the arrest of a former Oxford businessman who was picked up by the U.S. Marshal’s Service  on Wednesday and extradited to Tennessee.
        Patrick E. Clark, 40, was discovered in New Albany by U.S. Marshals and brought to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he remained until the weekend.

            Letters to the Editor

            Abbeville postmaster Brenda Lewis writes to thank all of those who helped the community in the aftermath of the May 2 tornado, calling them a silver lining in the tragedy. Lafayette High student council president Jeremy Williams and student council advisors Gail Caldwell and Daisy Bullard wrote to thank of the the merchants and friends who helped with Teacher Appreciation Day at the school. (May 25, 2010, Page 4)

                Grads say goodbye

                The graduates of Lafayette and Oxford high schools celebrated over the weekend as their journey through grade school came to a close.
                Both graduation ceremonies were held at  C.M. “Tad” Coliseum on the University of Mississippi campus; Lafayette ’s was held Friday night and Oxford’s was on Saturday afternoon. (May 24, 2010, Page 1A)

                  Bringing back a TV blast from the past

                  Remake, sequels and spinoffs work from time to time in movies and television. TV viewers, like Editor Don Whitten, who remember the glory days of crime-oriented dramas from the 1960s and 1970s, will see how well one of those shows does 30 years later with CBS bringing back “Hawaii Five-O” this fall. (May 24, 2010, Page 4A)
