City gets $500K windfall
State officials presented Oxford leaders with an unexpected gift of more than half a million dollars in road funds. But the windfall comes with a catch: the city must find a way to spend the dollars by May 28. Too many signs in Square businesses?
The Oxford Board of Aldermen are considering a revised sign measure for the Downtown Business District that would limit businesses to one four square feet illuminated sign within a three-foot radius from any exterior window.
