              MDOT to move paupers’ graves

              The Mississippi Department of Transportation asked the Lafayette County Board of Supervisors for a place to relocate a paupers cemetery that will be in the way of future road expansion. The board voted to wait until ground penetrating radar could tell them more information. (May 20, 2014, Page 1)

                  Dist. 1 voting precinct moved

                  The Lafayette County Board of Supervisors voted Monday to relocate the voting precinct from the former National Guard Armory to the Oxford Park Commission building. Voters should receive a new voter’s card in the mail the first week of May. (April 23, 2014, Page 1)

                    County OKs new solid waste building

                    The Lafayette County Board of Supervisors approved a building permit Monday to build a new solid waste department for the county. The total cost will me $266,761. (April 22, 2014, Page 1)
