Private road confused with county road

A Lafayette county citizen brought to attention his private road that is being ransacked with those following GPS routes or avoiding roadblocks at the Lafayette County Board of Supervisors meeting Monday. The county agreed to help with more signs on the road. (August 7, 2014, Page 1)

    Meter-free zone on Square?

    The Lafayette County Board of Supervisors voted to tabled a request for the city to put parking meters on county property around the courthouse Monday. The property line is debatable as to whether the parking spots are in fact county or city spaces. (August 5, 2014, Page 1)

                    MDOT to move paupers’ graves

                    The Mississippi Department of Transportation asked the Lafayette County Board of Supervisors for a place to relocate a paupers cemetery that will be in the way of future road expansion. The board voted to wait until ground penetrating radar could tell them more information. (May 20, 2014, Page 1)
