City schools weigh code of ethics

The Oxford School Board approved the first reading of a Code of Ethics policy that they hope to officially approve at the next board meeting on Monday. The board also discussed legislative stances at Monday’s special called meeting in order to express their concerns to their leaders in Jackson. (December 11, 2014, Page 1A)

      Money raised for DDES playground

      Della Davidson Elementary School has set a goal to raise $30,000 by Dec. 19th to fund more playground equipment for the school. So far the school has been able to raise a total of $8,000. (December 5, 2014, Page 1)

          Scott Shipman won a seat on the Oxford School Board and attorney Kelly Luther will be the new Third District Circuit Court judge after Tuesday’s runoff election.

              LES hosts Thanksgiving feast for students, staff

              Lafayette Elementary School hosted its third-annual Thanksgiving feast on Friday at the school. Kindergarten students dressed as either Pilgrims or Indians got to enjoy the array of food provided by staff and parents. (November 24, 2014, Page 1)
