OSD pays $85K to settle legal dispute

    Lafayette Elementary School is tops in box tops collection in the county this year with a check recently delivered for $3,419 meaning the school collected 34,190 box tops. (January 17, 2012, Page 7)

        City school board election deadline nears

        Oxford School Board qualifying deadline is Jan. 23 and people can apply to run for Romana Reed’s seat that is for those in the district but outside city limits. If more than Reed runs, than an election will be held on Mar. 3 from 2 to 5 p.m. (January 10, 2012, Page 1)

                Attorney takes on new career: author

                Lauren Alexander was an attorney in Oxford for many years before turning her sights on writing. She recently released two books and will speak about them at the Lafayette County and Oxford Public Library on Jan. 26. (December 27, 2011, Page 7)

                  OSD lawsuits dismissed
