Students, district honored for perfect scores

    Excel by 5 tweaks goals, priorities

    With Oxford being a certified child-friendly community, members of the LOU Excel by 5 coalition reached out to the community to gain insight on its long and short-term goals, it’s priority projects and brainstorm for new ideas during a town hall-style meeting Tuesday night at the Oxford Conference Center. (October 23, 2013, Page 1)

      Cattlemen beef up education scholarships

      The members of the Lafayette County Cattlemen Association have been busy beefing up their efforts to support education. In recent weeks, the group has fed student athletes at Ole Miss as well as Lafayette County and Oxford high schools. The association recently awarded two scholarships and its members are about to start raising funds for future scholarships. (October 22, 2013, Page 8)
