OSD adopts two sex ed programs

Oxford School Board approved an abstinence only program for Oxford Middle School and abstinence plus during a first reading on Tuesday. The board must vote on the issue once more in June. (May 30, 2012, Page 1, 12)

                    OHS to stage ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream’

                    The popular Shakespeare play will open on Saturday at Oxford High School’s Kayla Sue Mize auditorium after a delay due to student Alan Jack Pinnow’s death on Sunday. Students in the play have dedicated the show in his honor. Tickets are $10 or $5 for students. (April 20, 2012, Page 1A)
