    City school board election deadline nears

    Oxford School Board qualifying deadline is Jan. 23 and people can apply to run for Romana Reed’s seat that is for those in the district but outside city limits. If more than Reed runs, than an election will be held on Mar. 3 from 2 to 5 p.m. (January 10, 2012, Page 1)

      OSD lawsuits dismissed

      Two lawsuits, one a claim against the Oxford School District and the other a counter-claim against the parents of a special needs child – were jointly dismissed with prejudice Tuesday after more than a year of appeals. (December 23, 2011, Page 2A)

        Shots hit OSD buses

        Oxford High School buses returning home from a basketball doubleheader in Senatobia on Friday night were shot at with a .22 handgun. No students were injured and the suspects are still being searched for as of Monday. (December 19, 2011, Page 1)
