          Oxford University School seeks accreditation

          Tommy Naron, the new headmaster at Oxford University School said he is excited to join the staff and help the school to the next level – such as working on gaining accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement. (October 12, 2010, Page 5)

            OUS prepares for new school year

            Returning to her role as the head of Oxford University School, Tis Dean is looking forward to overseeing some educational improvements at the school this year.               OUS to offer transitional first grade

              Oxford University School will be the first in the community to offer a transitional first-grade class for the 2010-2011 school year. The transition year, popular in many places, is for students whose birthdays fall near the school registration deadline and who may not have the emotional maturity to transition into a full-scale first-grade program. (May 4, 2010, Page 7)

                Young scientists shine at Regional Fair

                Local students swept the Regional Science Fair last week at the University of Mississippi, with Della Davidson Elementary taking the Best School in Show award along with 15 awards for individual students. (March 30, 2010, Page 14)

                    OUS to remain open

                    Oxford University School appears to be in the clear as far as a foreclosure goes and intends to remain open. A group of concerned Oxford University School parents met with the board and headmaster Don Frazier along with Citizen’s Bank CEO and President Frank Sibley at the Holiday Inn Express on Tuesday evening to clarify the recent news on the future of the school.
