Oxford University School will be the first in the community to offer a transitional first-grade class for the 2010-2011 school year. The transition year, popular in many places, is for students whose birthdays fall near the school registration deadline and who may not have the emotional maturity to transition into a full-scale first-grade program. Oxford University School appears to be in the clear as far as a foreclosure goes and intends to remain open. A group of concerned Oxford University School parents met with the board and headmaster Don Frazier along with Citizen’s Bank CEO and President Frank Sibley at the Holiday Inn Express on Tuesday evening to clarify the recent news on the future of the school.
