          Dance company to host workshops, perform this spring

            Students recognized for rising about strife

                LHS hosts robotics qualifying rounds

                The Lafayette County School District recently hosted a FIRST Tech Challenge competition at Lafayette High School. State competitions will be held next month at the University of Mississippi’s Jackson Avenue Center in Oxford. (January 21, 2014, Page 5)

                  LHS student accepted to West Point Academy

                  Lafayette High School senior Jacob Roberts is the fourth student in LHS history to receive acceptance into West Point Military Academy in New York. He will begin basic training in July. (January 20, 2014, Page 3)

                    Local teachers earn board certification

                    Nine local teachers earned their certification through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in late December. Oxford, Lafayette and Water Valley districts are home to now 106 of the 3,557 board certified teachers in Mississippi. (January 10, 2014, Page 1A)
