OXFORD TOWN – Oxford Town columnist Jim Dees pays a moving tribute to the late Levon Helm – from his days with the Hawks to his migration to The Band to his casual solo career in a live setting in his “studio/barn” to his untimely death (losing a battle to cancer last month). Mavis Staples honored him at Oxford’s Double Decker Festival two weekends ago, and Dees takes the reins this week, remembering the great musician. Megan Reilly set for a graduation night show at Two Stick
OXFORD TOWN – Memphis native Megan Reilly heads to Two Stick Sushi Bar for a show on graduation night (Saturday, May 12) with her long-time band in tow featuring Ian Hunter’s lead guitarist James Mastro. Reilly is touring in support of her new album “The Well.” Page 12 in this week’s issue of Oxford Town (No. 978) has more information on the passionate musician and her awesome band who are set for a show on the Oxford Square this Saturday.
