NARFE
Chapter 1659 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees, or NARFE, will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Fat Cats Restaurant on Old College Hill Road. A variety of lunches will be available. Guest speaker will be William Andrews, director of Museum and Historic Houses at the University of Mississippi. Woodson-Ridge Homemaker Volunteers
The members of the Woodson-Ridge Club of the Mississippi Homemaker Volunteers of Lafayette County will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Lafayette county Extension Service 4-H Library. American Legion
American Legion, Post 55, will meet Thursday evening at the Veteran's Building on the corner of South Lamar and Veteran's Drive. Supper and fellowship begin at 6 p.m. followed by the business meeting at 7. All veterans are invited.
UM Plant Swap
The annual UM Plant Swap, open to the entire community, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the stage in the Grove at Ole Miss. Rain location is Martindale Hall. Bring as many rooted plants as you wish and also seeds to swap and share. For more information, e-mail ago@olemiss.edu.
