Cirque du Soleil set for Tupelo
OXFORD TOWN – Dralion is a signature Cirque du Soleil production acclaimed by more than 7 million people worldwide since it premiered in 1999 in Montreal, Canada. Beginning next Tuesday, North Mississippi gets the rare chance to see the troupe as it heads to Tupelo and the BankcorpSouth Arena. The shows is set to run from Sept. 6 – 8. ‘Streetcar Named Desire’ opens Wednesday
Tennessee Williams’ play, “Streetcar Names Desire” opens Wednesday and will run through Friday at The Powerhouse. Tickets on Wednesday and Friday are $10 to $12 for members and $8 for students. Yocona Folk Festival Kicks off this Friday at the Powerhouse
OXFORD TOWN – The Yocona Folk Festival will kick off its 2011 season this Friday (Aug. 5) with its International Marketplace Day held at the Powerhouse. The market is set to take place from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and will feature tons of artists and craftsmen selling their wares. The day will also feature American and international music and dance, all of which is free and open to the public.
