The Oxford Shakespeare Festival Continues

OXFORD TOWN  – The 2011 Oxford Shakespeare Festival continues this Saturday (June 18) with a performance of “Henry IV, Part I” at the University of Mississippi’s Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts.     The annual Oxford Shakespeare Festival kicks off June 11

    OXFORD TOWN – The 2011 Oxford Shakespeare Festival kicks off this weekend with William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night.” The play opens at 8 p.m. Saturday (June 11) at Meek Hall Auditorium on the Ole Miss campus.       Oxford Ballet preps for summer programming

      OXFORD TOWN – Oxford Ballet’s artistic director Genevieve Fortner has been busy planning community workshops for the summer and the popular dance company has released its plans to keep everyone moving through July.         Pride of the South rises at Ford Center

        OXFORD TOWN – A benefit concert for the Pride of the South Marching Band featuring the UM Wind Ensemble and guest drummer Larry Gooch (pictured) is scheduled for Tuesday, May 3, at the Gertrude C. Ford Center. Music is set to begin at 7:30 and admission is free. A reception to meet the student performers will be held for the general public after the concert. Page 9 in this week’s issue of Oxford Town has more information about the popular annual concert coming to the Ford Center benefitting the hardest working band in the SEC. (April 28, 2011, Page 9)
