Silas Reed ‘N’ Da Books set for The Grove this Sunday

OXFORD TOWN – Infectuous energy. Perpetual motion. It seems these topics spring to mind any time Oxonian Silas Reed’s name or music is mentioned. Hook Silas up with a top-notch funk band (Da Books) and a person can’t keep his/her feet still — can’t help but move — and move like they mean it. Catch OHS graduate and Ole Miss DJ/musician Silas Reed (pictured)) ‘N’ Da Books this Sunday evening (June 10) as the popular local funk band continues June’s Summer Sunset Series in the Grove. The family-friendly, free concerts begin at 7 and end (approximately) as the sun sets on the most famous and beautiful patch of green in the South — The Grove on the Ole Miss campus. Next up (on June 17 ) will be the silky-smooth folk/Americana/blues sounds of Maybelle’s Lovers. (June 7, 2012, Page 8)
