Chinese Ceramics displayed at UM Museum
OXFORD TOWN – The University of Mississippi Museum examines ancient Chinese ceramics and the culture of their time with its latest exhibition, “On the Silk Road and the High Seas: Chinese Ceramics, Culture and Commerce,” which will be on display from now through Aug. 4. Coinciding with the exhibition, the museum will host a lecture at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, featuring Virginia L. Bower (pictured here). OXFORD TOWN – The Oxford Art Crawl begins its 2012 season this Tuesday (Jan. 24). The ongoing event will be held the fourth Tuesday of each month from January through October, lasting from 7-9 p.m. The “crawl” events are free and offer tours of the rotating exhibits at Oxford’s art spaces with small receptions held at each stop.
