John-Alex Mason set for Thacker Mountain and Rooster’s Blues House

OXFORD TOWN – The one-man blues show, John-Alex Mason (pictured), is set for two performances tonight (Thursday, Feb. 3) in Oxford. Catch him at the season premier broadcast of  Thacker Mountain Radio at 6 at Off Square Books and later at Rooster’s Blues House on the Square.     Those Darlins return to Oxford

            Proud Larry’s hosts hard-hitting Southern rock Jan. 8

              YAC swings in the New Year this Friday

              OXFORD TOWN – A jam-packed new year of programming sponsored by the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council kicks off Friday, Jan. 7, with a Swing Dance Contest at the Powerhouse. Profits from the fundraiser goes toward improvements at YAC headquarters, specifically for a new dance floor.
