The Yes Virginias reunite to liven up holiday season

OXFORD TOWN – Oxford’s favorite holiday band, the Yes Virginias, have reunited and are headed to a venue or an event near you. Page 20 in this week’s Oxford Town has information on the band and its upcoming busy holiday schedule which begins with three gigs in Lafayette County this Saturday, Dec. 4 (Taylor Holiday Farmers’ Market, Water Valley Christmas Parade and the Taylor Christmas Parade).     Synergy Brass Quintet rings in season at Ford Center

    OXFORD TOWN – The Synergy Brass Quintet will ring in the holiday season with two shows on Saturday, Dec. 4, at the University of Mississippi’s Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts.       Christopher O’Riley plays the Ford Center

              Thacker Mountain Radio wraps season at Lyric Theater with packed lineup

              OXFORD TOWN – Thacker Mountain Radio completes a bustling 2010 season tonight (Thursday, Nov. 18) at the Lyric Theater featuring authors Jesmyn Ward and Jack Pendarvis (pictured),  musical guests Sam Mosley, The Hot Seats and the Thacker Mountain house band, The Yalobushwhackers.
