Oxford Fiber Arts Festival returns
OXFORD TOWN – Oxford’s second Fiber Arts Festival is set to re-launch this weekend at the Powerhouse touting activities fro the whole family. The event is hosted by Knit1 Oxford and the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council. OXFORD TOWN – Southside Gallery is now exhibiting paintings by local artist and former University of Mississippi painting professor Jere Allen and new sculptures (pictured here) by local artist and former University of Mississippi ceramics professor Ron Dale. ‘One Night Stand’ returns to Ole Miss Motel
OXFORD TOWN – The concept of the fifth annual “One Night Stand” art exhibit is when 15 artists take over 12 rooms at the Ole Miss Motel, swapping out the standard motor-in landscapes for their own paintings and photographs and essentially becoming the curator of their own small gallery. African art exhibited at University Museum
OXFORD TOWN – The University of Mississippi Museum continues its presentation of works from its permanent collection with a selection of African art from the Richard K. Meyer Collection. An opening reception is set for Oct. 25 during the Oxford Art Crawl and the public is invited to attend the free event.
