Ford Center releases awesome 2010-11 schedule

OXFORD TOWN –The Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts brings classic Broadway, fun family shows and big-name performers to the University of Mississippi for the 2010-11 season. Singer Amy Grant (pictured) will perform on Friday, Oct. 8, at 8 p.m. Additional Ford Series performances, all beginning at 8 p.m., include the musicals “Fiddler on the Roof” on Nov. 9, “Oklahoma!” on Nov. 19, “Forever Plaid” on Jan. 22 and “A Chorus Line” on March 26, just to name a few.       Honey Bee Bakery to host Mike Stanton Photo exhibit

      OXFORD TOWN – The Honey Bee Bakery located in Oxford Galleria is the place to be Saturday evening, Aug. 28, for the premiere of freelance photographer Mike Stanton’s evocative works in print. Page 9 in this week’s issue of Oxford Town has Kenneth Jones’ coverage of Stanton’s first exhibit.                 Teacher and Student exhibit begins Tuesday at University Museum
